XCOR Facilities

XCOR Aerospace is located in Hangar 61 at 1314 Flightline on the Mojave Air & Space Port and Civilian Aerospace Test Center in Mojave, California. The Space Port is located in southeastern Kern County at the western edge of the Mojave about 100 miles north of Los Angeles and 20 miles northwest of Edwards Air Force Base in Mojave, California.

We operate from a 10,375 square foot hangar that houses our production facility, machine shop, electronics shop and administrative offices. The shop is designed for rocket engine fabrication and rapid turn-around of unique parts and designs. Our engineers work in an adjacent building, and we have a test site on the northwest side of the spaceport where we conduct engine tests which are monitored from a nearby bunker. We use "off-the-shelf" components whenever possible, keeping in mind our company philosophy of safety, maintainability, reliability, and reusability.

One of the biggest advantages of our location is that we are able to flight test our vehicles at the Mojave Space Port which is FAA licensed for reusable launch vehicle flight operations. Additionally, the Space Port is conveniently situated near suppliers and the surrounding area is home to an experienced aerospace workforce on which we can draw.

XCOR is a certified HUBZone business as classified by the Small Business Administration.
