ENTRY LEVEL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Are you an electronics “tinkerer”? Do you like to modify existing hardware, improve it or make it do unusual things? Can you pull wires? Do you have the desire to work on interesting projects? Are you excited about space and maybe want to fly to space one day? If you answered “yes” to all of these questions, then XCOR Aerospace would like to talk with you. OVERVIEW – XCOR is seeking an entry level electrical engineer. Qualified candidates should possess a good working knowledge of simple circuit systems, off-the-shelf electronics and the modification process of existing equipment. The job requires an individual who is a self-starter and is able to perform hands-on work including circuit board population, repair and tests. Furthermore, we would like a person who is familiar with and can wire a motorcycle, automobile or aircraft. Construction of your own, or a family member’s, home-built airplane is a major plus. Experience with ham radio, Maker Space projects, RC airplanes and/or robotics projects is also a plus. Excellent writing skills preferred. QUALIFICATIONS – – BS EE degree preferred or **In all cases we seek significant hands-on practical experience.** REQUIREMENTS – MISCELLANEOUS – Employee will have “on the job training” in Mojave, CA through mid-2013, after which the position will relocate to the new R & D Headquarters in Midland, TX. The specific date of the Midland move is to be determined.
